Welcome to Cusack Dental. We moved premises in June 2015 from 52 Elm Park, Tramore to our state of the art practice in the heart of Tramore at 1 Priests Road. Our central location offers  excellent parking facilities and is fully wheelchair accessible.

Our ethos is to provide the very best in patient care in an environment that is warm, relaxing and inviting. We use the latest technology and advanced pain free techniques to bring you the best possible dental treatment. We’re a modern dental practice with a keen focus on family and child dental care.

Dr. Sarah Cusack
Principal Dentist

Dr Sarah Cusack Principal Dentist BDS MFDS RCS(Eng) Registration No: 10111

Dr Cusack graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University College Cork with honours. She went on to complete further vocational training in the UK. Following this, she completed her membership examinations (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007. Sarah gained invaluable experience working in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Ipswich Hospital and The University Dental Hospital of Manchester. Following this Sarah spent a number of years working in general practice and in the community dental services while continuing to work part time in the oral surgery department in Manchester Dental Hospital. She enjoyed teaching the dental students and treating complex cases and nervous patients. She has also completed a postgraduate course in Conscious Sedation in 2007 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentisty in 2011. She is a member of the Irish Dental Association, SAAD, DSTG and the Royal College of Surgeons. Sarah moved home to Tramore in 2011 and took over from her own former dentist Dr Frank O’Sullivan. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and recently became a mother to a gorgeous little girl. Sarah also loves travelling around Ireland and spending time outdoors whether it is on land or water, supporting Waterfords hurling team and meeting her friends for a good catch up.

Dr Shanahan graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University College Cork. She went on and completed a year vocational training in Ipswich in the U.K and after spending two years working and training and a year travelling around Australia, New Zealand and Asia. She then returned to Ireland and worked in a busy family practice in Kildare for 6 years. After marrying a fellow Corkonian, Orla moved to Waterford. In 2016 she was delighted to join her fellow UCC graduate and close friend Dr.Sarah Cusack here in Cusack Dental. Orla is very committed to continuous professional development and learning and is a member of the Irish Dental Association. Being a mum herself of two lovely young children, Orla has plenty of experience in making the visit to the dentist an enjoyable experience for both the young and old patients. Her friendly and relaxed manner and gentle approach puts anxious patients at ease. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is happy to add clear aligners to the range of many treatments offered at Cusack Dental. In her spare time, Orla loves taking trips home to Cork, walking on the beach in Tramore and Dunmore and relaxing with her family. .

Maia Belle Halligan

Maia has been working as a dental nurse for a little over a year now and has come on leaps and bounds. She loves being in the surgery helping the dentists and socializing with patients. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend in Cork, travelling abroad (not during covid though!), relaxing...
